Each of the firefighting stair shafts are provided with Automatic Opening Vents.

Shaft A1 - Lincoln Avenue

Shaft A1 is accessed from Lincoln Avenue providing access to floors three to seven. There is no access to floors one and two from this stair. A roof vent is provided at the head of stairs with manual operation available at the ground floor entrance area. Replacement air is from floor access doors or the ground floor main entrance.

Shaft A2 - Lincoln Crescent

Shaft A2 is accessed from Lincoln Crescent providing access to floors one and two only. The door at the head of stairs (floor two) is fitted with an automatic opening door actuator that will unlock and open the door on activation of the manual controls available at the ground floor entrance area (Lincoln Crescent). Replacement air is from floor access doors or the ground floor main entrance.
